- Hard pressed yet uncrushed
2 Corinthians 4:7-10 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed- always carrying about in the body of the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. One down, one more to go. Geylang Food Fest Went out with my ex fellow guides last last Thursday and we went to GEYLANG to EAT! Our eating was definitely justified! We WALKED from Kallang MRT to Lorong 9 for Beef Kway Teow. Then we crossed opposite to have dinner part 2 of Dim Sum. Then we WALKED to Lorong 39 only to find out Rochor Tau Huay was closed :( So we took a bus backwards to Lorong 27 to another Tau Huay shop. And finally WALKED to Aljunied MRT to take train home. On the way, we had a few encounters. Saw prostitutes lining along the streets waiting for customers. Christabel got elbowed by an elderly 60 plus year old man who was chasing after a woman half his age and he pressed some money into her hand and said 'Gei ni duo yi dian' which is 'give you more'. We were all like ??? Geylang is definitely a Happening place.  First Stop: Beef Kway Teow  Chris was amused that I dared to wear this shirt out LQ you better appreciate it!  That's two people's share, quite a lot  Xue ling extremely happy, duno why  Adeline also   Hotplate tofu  Finished  Second stop: Dim Sum  A must have huh?   Heineken ambassador    My chee cheong fun!  Our Dim Sum food feast!!! Shiok!        Third stop: Tau Huay store   At this point we were totally tired! XL is faking her smile.   Hot Tau Huay!  With cold tau huay drinks  And you tiao    Happy Thinking Day!!! |
