My thighs and calves and biceps are still aching after gym workout with Lynn on Tuesday. Do you realise that the ladies always keep to the treadmill  and cycling side of the gym and that almost none of them go to the dumbbell area?

I guess for me I feel quite intimidated by those guys standing in front of the mirror, flexing their muscles and lifting those heavy weights. But one thing Gareth said to me made a lot of sense. He said that in the gym, guys don't care what girls do and that I shouldn't feel this way because it's my own body I'm building in the end so I shouldn't let this obstacle block me from doing what I want to do at the gym. Also, it's a plus point for girls because we don't face the same pressure as guys to work out, so seriously, who cares about the guys! The gym is mine! And yes, Lynn and I did 3 kg dumbbells for both arms, woohooooooo! I also realised that my left arm is significantly weaker than my right, must work that out more...

Went out with my besties on Thursday to my second excursion to the Botanical Gardens! Woke up at 8.30am believe it or not! Haven't seen the sun at that time of the morning since I stopped working. Ber very kindly drove us there in her dad's big 7 seater car but we got lost like 3 or 4 times getting there. We had to stop and ask 3 security guards for directions and we finally got there after half an hour of circling around the same area. Alas, there was another obstacle in the cramped carpark where Ber mounted curb because the car was too big. Char and I got out of the car to stand at the parking lot to chop the place while Ber took her time to reverse, kiasu we are! Got a slight tan from today from the HOT HOT sun (thank God!) and loaded ourselves with cup noodles, jellies, chips, tuna and biscuits.
