- A better week
Today was the second time I wore sunglasses to work. Feb 15th was the first. All because of puffy eyes. Everything came to a head yesterday but the storm is over, today will be a better day. This week will be a better week.Yayness, got 25 bucks from the food tasting survey (thanks Greg!) yesterday afternoon. That amount of money for 20 mins worth of survey is very worth it. On the way there, Alvin and I were talking about what we wanted to do in the future, about jobs with good pay vs passion and he revealed a career path which he wanted to take up in the near future and I was shocked, seriously. Haha, but no one can stop him. He was also explaining about how a guy should behave when there is a girl around, gentlemen tips, like a guy should be behind a girl when walking up the stairs and in front of the girl when walking down, reason being, to break her fall if she does fall. I did ask him whether the former situation was because he wanted to look up her skirt also, but no lah, obviously not. Asked him to share all these tips with LQ haha. *wink I accepted the responsibility of a camp commandant and yesterday was the first meeting. I will be working alongside with my fellow CC, Samuel, to take charge of the younger Speedlight camp. Thank God for Dougy and Alvin (Yanda couldn't make it) who were there as our advisors, without them, we would be very lost. I see the organizing of this camp as a challenge which I want to do my best for God and this project looks so challenging right now but I’m excited to face it. I want to gain experience and memories from this process, a new role which I’m taking up for the very first time, so Lord, use me! Two more meetings this week, jia you rach! Cast all doubts and inadequacy aside, step up step up! LQ’s off to field camp for the next 10 days. I already miss him so I’ll keep myself busy so I won’t think of him. So glad that I managed to spend time with him on Saturday, just talking through the night about our secrets, how we got to know each other, our dates, our past crushes, our future, our concerns. I got to know him better and vice versa, love the talks we have. Slept at 6am and am still suffering from lack of sleep. Monday Bluuueeesss. Hope he’s doing good outfield now. Baby, I’m praying for you everyday, for protection, for strength, stay positive, go go jia you! Waiting you to take me out on Friday, soul mates we are :) Love! |
