Woohooo! TGIF! This week passed by so fast and my darling is coming out this weekend! Finally, like after 3 weeks of confinement, I miss him so much. I think I forgot how he looks like already even though I visited him last Sunday. To Silly Flower and Macaroni: He’s mine, don’t snatch him away!

The bridge jie meis are going to stay over at Char’s house tonight and were gonna bridge the whole night! So excited for it! Hope I can win more games and I hope that I won’t be zombiefied tmr because there’s leaders training.

On Wednesday night, Lynn, Silly flower and I went down to the pond at Pasir Ris at around 9pm to meet the rest (Macaroni, Wei Xiong, Linda, Ber, Char, Salome, Alvin, Yanda and Jia Jun) for prawning. On a side note, Lynn and I went to meet the Murdoch consultant and we’re quite positive about everything, the only thing is the lack of campus life. Double majors only take 1 and a half year to complete since we have one year exemption. Must decide soon!

Anyway, I expected prawning to be something boring, just sitting there and yawning while waiting for the prawn to bite but it turned out to be something totally different. Lynn, Silly flower and I went down to the pond at Pasir Ris at around 9pm to meet the rest (Macaroni, Wei Xiong, Linda, Ber, Char, Salome, Alvin, Yanda and Jia Jun) for prawning. The rest had been there since 6pm and when we reached they extended for another 2 hours. Prawning seems boring if you’re not participating but when you are holding the rod itself, it’s quite exciting. And! I caught a big prawn within the first 5 mins of me holding the rod! Silly flower couldn’t believe his eyes! The sense of satisfaction was like ohhhhhh!!!! Haha, I couldn’t wait to eat that prawn!

Prawning required a lot of patience so we took turns in taking over the rod and by the end of the night, we caught 13 fat prawns in 2 hours, excluding those which they caught and bbqed earlier. Almost everyone caught at least a prawn and Macaroni was on a roll, he caught prawn after prawn after prawn! Madness, but well, this is his di pan! While they took over the rods, my bridge jie meis (Char and Linda), Jia Jun and me, engaged in 9 straight games of our favourite game, BRIDGE! I won 5 out of 9 games, not bad, must improve my game. Had lots of good cards in the game, I must agree with Char, the cards were biased man!

At 11.45pm, we had to return the rods and we started bbqing the prawns. Man, I felt so bad when they put the live prawns (esp the pregnant ones, Char you murderer, haha) to the pit and they started turning orange while struggling for their lives. But well, prawns are meant to be eaten and man, were the prawns deeeeelicious! So fat and juicy! Can’t wait to prawn again! I went to bed satisfied with prawns swimming in my tummy :)
