- slacker queen
Spotlights blaze brightly over the polished parquet floor. The emcee clears his throat and focuses on the audience."I present to Kee Wan Ting Rachel, the Slacker Queen Award for the year 2006. Let's give her a round of applause!!!"  Rachel's beautiful picture is flashed on the screen and breathtaking gasps are heard. "Ok, and now we shall interview Rachel, this year's Slacker Award winner! So tell us Rachel, how did you manage to win this particular award?" Rachel blushes. "Oh well, it was nothing really. Actually it's quite easy. You just have to stay at home all day and basically do nothing." The Emcee wrinkes his brow. "Hmmm... but how can you possibly do nothing at all? You must be doing something! Come on, tell us about a day in your slacker's life." Rachel reluctantly replies, "Er, ok. Well, first I get up at around 12 plus, then have bronch, sit in front of the tv, take a nap, wake up in time for dinner, watch somemore tv, read then sleep." "Oh wow. How productive! So what do you think you have achieved?" Emcee asks. "Oh I'm a tv pro now! I can tell you roughly what programmes are going to be aired on different channels. Er HBO is airing Bring It Back Again at 8.15 am tomorrow, Mean Girls at 1 pm, there's Malcom In The Middle on AX-" Rachel is cut short by the emcee. "Ok I think that's enough. You are clearly well versed in this area. So have you become more lardy as well?" Emcee smirks. Rachel shrugs nonchantly, "Oh I jogged today!" Emcee gasps. " Oh my gosh!!! Quick I need my inhaler!!" Fumbles around in his pockets. Support crew comes onstage to help him. Curtains close. Poilte applause is heard. |
